About Us

The Surgical Skills Training Centre is part of the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital, University of Cape Town and first opened its doors on 22 June 2011.

WELCOME TO THE SURGICAL SKILLS TRAINING CENTER

The Surgical Skills Center is purpose-built and fitted with state of the art Karl Storz equipment on all 9 stations. Multi-disciplinary workshops are conducted using a variety of surgical skills training models.

Courses All Year Around For Specialists

During the year our Surgical Skills Centre wellcomes to Specialists from all around the world.

Nurses GI Basic Endoscopy Workshop

This course will be held at the Surgical Skills Training Centre at Red Cross War Memorial Children's Hospital 3 times a year during 2017.

Prevention of Pressure Ulcers

This upcoming event by UFS will be hosted at the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital by Surgical Skills Training Center.

ERCP Training
