  • Picking up and manipulating the needle
  • Driving the needle through tissue
  • Anatomy of a knot – on Jigs with rope

10:45 – 13:00 Dry Lab Session 2
Suturing and knotting – Dry model
Basic techniques – 2 Needle holders at 90o

  • Smiley, Expert/C-loop, Gladiator

Advanced techniques – Single Needle holder

  • Ipsilateral
  • Collapsing a knot
  • Extracorporeal knotting
