SHORT COURSE
Saturday: 21st October 2023
The Nurses GI Endoscopy Short Course, partnering with Tecmed, the GastroFoundation, the Red Cross Hospital Skills Lab team, SAGINS and the GSH Upper GI Surgery Unit aims to:
• Increase technical knowledge of endoscopy equipment
• Create a safe and infection free environment and improve patient experience
• Promote the professional status of Endoscopy Nurses in RSA
It includes interactive lectures on GI tract anatomy, sedation, the endoscope, hygiene and infection control, followed by practical experience on cleaning and handling of scopes.
Venue: Red Cross Children’s Hospital Skills Lab, Cape Town
Date: Saturday 21st October 2023 (8:30am – 12:30, includes a tea break)
