GESEA CERT1 & 2 CERTIFICATION 25th & 26th NOVEMBER 2022 PRE-SASOG CONGRESS WORKSHOP IN CAPE TOWN

GESEA CERTIFICATION CERT1 & CERT 2 – CAPE TOWN

The GESEA CERTIFICATION CERT1 & GESEA CERT2 will take place at the GESEA Diploma Centre, Surgical Skills Training Centre, Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital, Rondebosch, Cape Town on FRIDAY 25^th (CERT1) & Saturday 26^th (CERT2) NOVEMBER 2022 as a Pre-Congress SASOG Workshop.

There will be a CERT2 Practical Training Workshop in Cape Town on Saturday 15th &  Sunday 16th October 2022 and a CERT1 Practical Training Course in Cape Town on Saturday 19th & Sunday 20th October 2022 prior to the SASOG Congress to prepare candidates for the GESEA Certification.

There will be a hybrid CERT1 & CERT2 Practical Training Course on Saturday 19th & Sunday 20th November 2022. If the demand exists for more than 1 CERT1 or CERT2 Certification, those sessions will be held on Friday 25th November 2022. 

The GESEA Diploma Centre in Cape Town will be available for candidates to practice from Sunday 20th November 2022.

PLEASE NOTE THAT CERT1 & CERT2 Mentees MUST have completed the applicable e-learning videos and achieved the GESEA e-learning COMPLETION CERTIFICATE prior to being permitted to participate in the GESEA CERTIFICATION. A copy of the GESEA e-learning COMPLETION Certificate must be sent to clive.vangeems@uct.ac.za by Friday 18th November 2022

It is NOT a requirement to have completed the GESEA Level 1 or Level 2 GESEA Level 1 e-learning  or  GESEA Level 2 MIGS e-learning before attending a GESEA Practical Training Course. To access the e-learning you can click on the relevant e-learning link. You will have to pay €30 to access the e- learning platform. To compensate for this, the Certification fees have been reduced by R500.

TESTT1 and TESTT2 will be written between 17h30 and 18h30 on Friday 25^th NOVEMBER 2022. TESTT1 and TESTT2 is a 50 multiple choice question test based (but not exclusive to) on the e-learning platform. 

CERT1 will take place on Saturday afternoon 26^th NOVEMBER 2022

CERT2 will take place on Saturday morning 26^th NOVEMBER 2022
