Basic and Essential Surgical Skills Training (BESST)

This 3-day course is designed to provide an introduction to safe surgical practice within a controlled workshop environment. The course is aimed at Junior Registrars, Interns, and any other Practitioners. The course covers:

1. Basic surgical techniques
2. Trauma and orthopaedics
3. Minimal access surgery

Features include:

1. Intensive hands-on practice of basic skills
2. Individual tuition
3. Personal feedback on performance, with advice for further practice

5. Certification recognized by The Colleges of Medicine of South Africa

Please note the we receive a high volume of applicants for every course.  However, we are only able to accommodate 18 participants per date on a first-come, first-served basis.  If the course is full for the specific date you are applying for, please try the next one.

Bookings can only be confirmed upon receipt of the non – refundable course fee of R3 300.  Please let us know if you are no longer interested or will not able to attend on the available dates, so that your name can be removed from the waiting list.
