The Laparoscopic Intensive Practical Suturing (LIPS) course offers highly practical training in suturing needed to acquire fundamental skills in laparoscopic surgery. It does this by training your psychomotor skills outside of the operation room according to current best practices.

The objectives are:

• to acquire knowledge of instrumentation and applicability
• to understand the advantages and difficulties of laparoscopic suturing
• to master fundamental and advanced techniques
• to acquire practical and theoretical skills related to laparoscopic suturing
• to learn tips and tricks to enhance the suturing process and make it more efficient

The course is more suited to candidates that have qualified CERT1 of the GESEA Programme and considering the CERT2 Certification. Preference will be given to Gynaecologists that have previous suturing experience.
